A THREE MONTH JOURNEY LEARNING TO
REVIVE OUR ROOTS

  • An invitation for people from the SWANA region, to heal your roots and bring into embodiment the beautiful wisdom and medicine of your ancestors, cultures, and lands.

  • CULTURAL MEDICINE

By exploring the threads of wisdom and trauma within our culture, you will deepen into and uncover the connection with the ancestral wisdom lying within your bones. You will be guided through a trance state to meet ancestors and medicine.

  • SOMATICS

You’ll have the opportunity to tune into your senses and notice what shifts through guided practices. We will tune into the body to help ourselves integrate the wisdom the reveals itself as we move through this journey together.

Flow of the 3 month journey

We will be meeting Saturdays on a bi-weekly basis to move through 5 different areas of exploration. This is a program designed to welcome you into a journey towards healing ancestral wounds, both for yourself and the collective.

  • September 27

Arrive and open the container with a ceremony acknowledging ourselves, the land, and the practices.

  • October 11

We will explore our relationship with the land, the land we live on and the land of our ancestors. Explore that which connects us to the land.

  • October 25

Explore the different cultural trauma cycles and patterns we find ourselves in and what we can learn from them.

  • November 11

Our rage is sacred. Our grief is sacred. We create space to be in these expressions and see how they can alchemize and move us.

  • November 22

How has our culture been affected by patriarchy and what are our examples of sacred masculine? Remember the sacred masculine present in our babas and giddus.

  • December 6

Learn to nourish the different rivers moving within our bodies, which rivers we can let dry up, and which need to continue to be tended.

The people of our lands have suffered for centuries. it is time for you to remember, to heal, and to embody your ancient calling.

Attendees will receive an email with logistics upon registering. Installment payments are available. If you need financial support, feel free to email us.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet your guides for the Retreat

  • Sepideh is a visionary, holds space that facilitates healing, and a mother. Her work meets at the intersection of animism, liberation, and love.

She weaves the threads of devotion of the land, body, and ancient wisdom in her 1:1 and group work. She is a devotee of the Great Mother, in service of liberating the heart and womb and our connection to the Earth. She believes deeply in the possibility of creating a new paradigm that brings back a long lost balance to the Earth and all the beings seen and unseen. Sepideh is a trained psychotherapist in archetypal and relational psychology. She has a background in yoga, dance, bodywork, somatics, and animism. She currently lives with her son, husband, mother, and cat in the sacred lands of the Munsee Lenape and Schaghticoke also known as Rhinebeck NY, in the Hudson Valley.

You can contact her at info@seemorghmysteryschool.com

  • Somatic Therapist

Mona is a weaver of webs in her work with clients one on one as well as in group facilitation. She always sees the potential of connection and collaboration in what she observes, and lets that perspective move her in her work and the ways she moves through the world. She trusts and believes that healing always happens in community, no matter how hyper-individuated society gets. What moves her is curiosity and a belief that ancient wisdom is held within our bodies and that by using practices guided by the wisdom of our bodies, we can actively heal and bring the collective back to a place of harmony. She does this through earth and body-based practices, an exploration of archetypal work, and elemental shadow work.

Mona owes her practice and “work” to her ancestors before her, her immigrant family, and the teachers she’s had the privilege to learn from in this life. As a Somatic Therapist, her practice focuses on touch and the power of co-regulation and safety that can happen from being in contact with another. Again, healing happens in community.

Mona is currently living on her ancestral lands in Cairo, Egypt. You can learn more about her in the about page.

If you are interested in attending and in need of financial assistance, please email either Sepideh at info@seemorghmysteryschool.com or Mona at mona@somaeldeen.com expressing your need and we will work with you to make your presence possible.
